UNICEF Canada says thank you to Peel board
In his presentation to Peel board trustees, UNICEF Canada’s President and CEO, David Morley, thanked Peel students, staff, family and community members for their contributions totaling $248,290 in support of victims of Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines and the children of Syria. Over the past five years, the Peel board has raised more than $1 million in support of children around the world.
"Our students, staff and families are always quick to respond when disaster strikes in other areas of the world," says Tony Pontes, director of education. "The dedication to help those in need is impressive, and I extend a sincere thanks to all of our staff and students for pitching in and working together for this cause."
