Peel students’ award-winning cyber bullying video and poster coming to theatres and buses near you

Peel District School Board secondary school students will be seeing their work featured in Cineplex theatres and Mississauga transit buses this summer after winning the top prizes in the Peel Regional Police “What If Everyone Did Something...to stop Cyber Bullying” secondary school challenge.

The top 3 video winners were:

  1. Sandalwood Heights Secondary School
  2. Erindale Secondary School
  3. Brampton Centennial Secondary School

The top video will be featured this summer as a trailer to feature films in local Cineplex theatres.

John Fraser Secondary School had the top two posters in the region. The top poster will be displayed in all Mississauga Transit buses.

The winners of the challenge were announced at a gala event at the Peel board’s HJA Brown Education Centre on May 29. Students from the Peel board and the Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board were asked to create videos and posters with a message about the issue of cyber bullying.
