Tomken Road Middle School participates in 'Destination Imagination' Global Finals in Knoxville, Tennessee

Twenty students from Tomken Road Middle School represented the province of Ontario at the Destination Imagination Global Finals in Knoxville, Tennessee, from May 21 to 25.  Destination Imagination (DI) is a non-profit volunteer-led educational organization with a Challenge Program that gives students the chance to learn and experience the creative process from imagination to innovation.

Tomken Road sent two improv teams and one scientific team to the finals. These teams qualified for the event through a provincial challenge and represented our province admirably. 

The scientific team finished 14th overall and 3rd in the instant challenge and was the highest scoring team from Canada. The top improv team finished 30th overall and was also the top scoring team from Canada. 

The event was held at the University of Tennessee and was attended by 15,000 students from 15 different countries. For more information about Destination Imagination, visit
