Port Credit staff, students and community members ride for cancer

Staff and students at Port Credit Secondary School,  joined by community members raised close to $20,000 in support of the Coast to Coast - “Inside Ride” Charity. Coast to Coast Against Cancer Foundation, on April 8. Funds are used to support children living with cancer and cancer research.

Port Credit’s roots in the community have always run deep and Tuesday was an example of representatives from all areas coming together. Over 40 teams and 250 riders took part in an exciting, energetic and fun filled event. Student and staff teams were joined by teams from the Parent Council, PCSS Alumni Association, Port Credit BIA, Peel Police NPU officers and the Mississauga Fire Department.

Organizers Erika Proctor and Karen Hashimoto, along with their athletic council would like to thank Pop-A-Lock Locksmiths, The Apple Market, Metro, The Oakville Crusaders Rugby Club and MiWay for their generous donations of food, drinks and prizes to support the event.
