Fletcher’s Meadow students earn top scores at 2018 Waterloo Financial Literacy Competition

More than 400 students from 33 schools across Ontario competed in the 2018 Financial Literacy Competition at the University of Waterloo. Nine business students from Fletcher's Meadow Secondary School decided to put their knowledge to the test and earned top scores overall for demonstrating strong financial literacy competence and confidence.

When Fletcher's Meadow business teacher, Carmen Bennett was approached by two of her students requesting that she sponsor them for this competition, she knew she had to share the opportunity with her grade 10 business class. After learning more about the competition, students set up and led after school practice sessions to prepare.
