Milkovich's leadership extends beyond classroom walls. Milkovich hopes to attend the biomedical engineering program at McMaster University after graduation.

Over 5,000 students from across Canada apply for The Loran Award. Each year, only 88 students are invited to its national selection process by panelists who will make the final decision. Recipients of this award are granted a $100,000 scholarship, including a $10,000 annual stipend, mentorship, summer internships, annual retreats and a weeklong orientation expedition in Algonquin Park, Ontario.
