Peel board students recognized with the 2017 W.J. Wood Award

​Six students are being recognized with the 2017 W.J. Wood Award. Each student will be presented with a $200.00 award. 

The W.J. Wood Award recognizes and honours a senior graduating student registered in the Peel Vocational School who has demonstrated leadership, educational progress and has made an outstanding contribution to their school. 

​The following students will be honoured:

  • Claye Smiley-Paton, Humberview SS
  • Olivia Moniaque Downer, Turner Fenton SS
  • Alisha Mohamoud, Lincoln Alexander SS
  • Sierra Siemms, West Credit SS
  • Anis Sultan, Gordon Graydon SS
  • Phillip Alabakis, Judith Nyman SS
Each Peel Vocational School has selected one student to receive the W.J. Wood Secondary School Staff Award. The winners of the W.J. Wood Award will be honoured at a meeting of the board in September and/or at the local school commencement ceremony.​
