Peel students recognized with Congress of Black Women of Canada Scholarship

Three Peel board students were recogn​​ized with the Congress of Black Women of Canada scholarship. Each student received a $1,000 scholarship from the community organization. 

The scholarship is awarded to students for their outstanding commitment to education and volunteer service in their community and school.

The following students are recipients of the award:

  • Arinzechukwu (Arinze) Ochuba - Turner Fenton Secondary School
  • Candaice Newell - Central Peel Secondary School
  • Taylor Bogle - David Suzuki Secondary School
​The Congress of Black Women of Canada is a national non-profit organization​. The organization is dedicated to improving the lives of all Black women and their families in their local and national communities​.
