James Potter Public School hosted a multicultural fashion show for a school-wide assembly honouring Asian Heritage Month.
Staff members went on stage wearing ethnic clothing ranging from kimonos with geta (wooden shoes) to colourful chunnis with matching bindis. Teachers and teaching assistants also included students on stage with them, ranging from kindergarten to grade 5 and students with special needs.
They walked and danced to the beat of the dhol (an Indian drum). The energy in the auditorium was alive and strong; students were cheering, parents were in tears of pride and joy, and the audience embraced the cultural performance on stage with love and excitement.
