Peel board schools win all three spots at the Enbridge Energy School Challenge

Enbridge Gas Distribution announced and congratulated the winners of the Enbridge Energy School Challenge on May 17. Peel District School Board's three secondary schools took the top three spots at this year's challenge. 

Stephen Lewis Secondary School placed first, Humberview Secondary School placed second and Lincoln M. Alexander Secondary School took the third spot. Each school will receive a prize for their efforts. Stephen Lewis will receive $3,000, $2,000 has been awarded to Humberview and Lincoln M. Alexander will receive $1,000.

The schools successfully completed challenges such as reducing their natural gas usage, building a community garden and completing a waste audit. 

The Enbridge Energy School Challenge teams up with Ontario EcoSchools to inspire students to learn more about energy efficiency. There were 25 schools from seven school boards who participated in the challenge.
