This past weekend the Mississauga Lions came from behind in the semi-final match against York Mills to win 3-2, setting up the finals against Eastview Secondary School from Barrie.
From the beginning, the team showed determination, defeating Eastview 3-0 and winning the OFSAA gold medal.
Demonstrating why they're the lion's pride, the Mississauga Secondary School senior boys volleyball team, led by their coaches, Brent Austin and Llyod Jones, had an outstanding season with 42 wins and 0 losses.
The team would like to thank all staff, students, family, and alumni players who came out and cheered them on this past weekend.
