Staff and students at Clark Boulevard Public School were out in full force to celebrate Winter Walk Day on Feb. 4. Teachers shared the event with parents at an assembly, where they wore pedometers and had a walk-off. The walk off helped parents, school and students understand their role in getting 60 minutes of moderate to vigorous activity each day.
Meanwhile, grade 5 students organizing breakout physical activities for classes to enjoy, including tobogganing, Frosty the Snowman tag, RPS football, snow fort building and a winter walk cheer competition. The end result was 650 smiling faces, all of who had fun learning literacy, problem-solving math and physical literacy in the snow.
