Three Peel board schools receive Premier’s Award for Safe and Accepting Schools

Agnes Taylor Public School, Erindale Secondary School and Stanley Mills Public School have been recognized as recipients of the 2013-2014 Premier’s Award for Safe and Accepting Schools.

“This achievement demonstrates how Peel schools are leaders in safe, welcoming and accepting school climates that support the learning and ongoing development of  all of our students,” says Jerry Powidajko, superintendent of leadership development and school support services. “Providing the best possible education for students in a safe school community is a shared responsibility which requires a commitment of collaboration, cooperation and effective communication between staff and students.”

The Premier’s Award recognizes up to 11 Safe Schools teams across Ontario that have demonstrated initiative, creativity and leadership in promoting a safe and inclusive school climate.
