Peel board holds second of two education fairs to showcase middle, secondary schools

On Nov. 8, the Peel District School Board invites students and their families to visit Harold M. Brathwaite Secondary School between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. to experience the Peel board advantage. The Peel Board Advantage Education Fair will showcase middle schools with regional programs and secondary schools in Brampton, Caledon and Malton.

"The education fair is a great opportunity for parents and students to speak with school staff to get a glimpse of the programs, resources and support offered at Peel schools," says Tony Pontes, director of education for the Peel board. "The success of the Mississauga education fair shows us that families are interested in exploring what Peel schools have to offer in one convenient location. It's a great way for us to share the Peel board advantage."

The education fair on Nov. 8 will include:

  • information booths for over 25 Brampton, Caledon and Malton secondary and middle schools
  • Peel board staff who will be on hand to answer questions
  • student exhibition sports games, art performances and robotics demonstrations
  • free refreshments prepared by students in Peel board culinary programs
Harold M. Brathwaite Secondary School is located at 415 Great Lakes Dr. in Brampton. Additional parking is available at Great Lakes Public School, 285 Great Lakes Dr., Brampton Soccer Centre, 1495 Sandalwood Pkwy. E and Jamiat-Ul-Ansar Islamic Centre, 291 Great Lakes Dr.
