The Peel District School Board will host Building Capacity, Building Community, Building Relationships- Connecting With Others In A Digital World, a cross-board professional development event, on May 31. Sponsored by e-Learning Ontario, the teaching-with-technology focused event will include a keynote presentation by George Couros, Canadian expert on digital literacy in education, and more than 20 workshops focused on providing school board staff with tips and resources to help them use technology more effectively to enhance their 21st century teaching and learning skills.
“As leaders in the use of technology, it is critical that we provide our staff with the skills and knowledge to connect and communicate effectively in today’s digital world,” says Patrick McQuade, instructional coordinator of instructional technology, Peel board. “The workshops will be an opportunity for school board staff from across the Greater Toronto Area to enhance their 21st century teaching and learning skills through collaboration and team-building.”
