Multilingual sessions teach parents how to prepare their children for kindergarten

Parents looking to enrol their children into kindergarten this September are invited to attend the Multilingual Kindergarten Parent Sessions hosted at the We Welcome the World Centre, Mississauga and Brampton locations.

The sessions, conducted by school settlement response workers at the We Welcome the World centres, will provide parents with valuable information about:

• full-day kindergarten
• benefits of play-based learning
• the Peel District School Board’s flexible school boundary policy
• how to help their children prepare for kindergarten

“The purpose of this session is to inspire confidence in parents so that they can help prepare their children for September,” says Louise Clayton, coordinator of the We Welcome the World Centres. “Parents will also have the opportunity to discuss, ask questions and meet other parents as well. This way, both children and parents are at ease come the new school year.”
