Allan A. Martin Senior Public School will host their International Business and Technology (IBT) Trade Show on May 8. The trade show will feature over 50 student-designed business ventures centered around this year’s show theme We Inspire.
“The IBT Trade Show is the culmination of two years of learning in the IBT program,” says Katina Paleologos, principal at Allan A. Martin. “It's an opportunity to showcase the varied and unique products that are the result of creative thinking from our young entrepreneurs."
Working collaboratively throughout the process, students develop a wide range of 21st century skills related to business, including: marketing, personal management, sales strategies and social media techniques. The student’s projects also include a full business plan and marketing campaign for their ventures.
The IBT program is a regional program open to students entering grade 6. In the program, students prepare for the challenges and changes of the business and technology world. They are also able to build their skills in the dynamic arts and music program. To learn more about the program visit http://bit.ly/IBTatAllanA.
