Black and Indigenous​ recruitment information session for occasional teaching and teaching assistant positions​

​​To help further support the work of the Peel District School Board's We Rise Together and Indigenous Education actions plans, the board is hosting Black and Indigenous recruitment information sessions for occasional teaching and teaching assistant positions.

Saturday, Sept. 28, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., 
David Suzuki Secondary School 
45 Daviselm Drive, Brampton 
Participants will have an opportunity to meet with board staff to
  • review their resume and cover letter
  • get help with interview preparation
  • learn about interview opportunities for those who attend a session
  • learn more about occasional teaching/teaching assistant roles

At the Regular Meeting of the Board on March 25, 2019, Peel District School Board trustees approved a motion to embark on a focused recruitment initiative to hire Black and Indigenous teachers to further support the work of our We Rise Together and Indigenous Education action plans to identify, understand, minimize and eliminate the marginalization experienced by Black and Indigenous students.​
