Dolson Public School, a new school located in the City of Brampton, will celebrate its first school year in its new building with an official opening ceremony on June 6 at 4:30 p.m. Joined by special guest, Tom Dolson, a member of the Dolson family, the event will include an open house, outdoor activities, and student performances and artwork.
"Since opening our doors, we have had tremendous support from families and community members," said Shawn Sabourin, principal at Dolson. "This is our way to say a big thank you to everyone who helped to contribute to a successful first year in our new building."
"We are so pleased to celebrate Dolson Public School's official opening," says Peter Joshua, director of education. "The school is already filled with memories that students, staff and families will cherish forever. I look forward to all of the ways the Dolson community will continue to inspire."
Funding for this new school was provided by the Ministry of Education.

This school is an important addition to the City of Brampton, and I look forward to watching this school community continue to grow and thrive," says Lisa Thompson, Minister of Education.
- 4:30 p.m. – Outdoor festivities and open house, including bouncy castles, games and activities, student art displays, photos with the school's house team mascots, view the Dolson Time Capsule Bench, and food and drinks for purchase
- 6:30 p.m. – Grand opening ceremony, including ribbon cutting with special guests and student performers from the school band, primary and French choir, and Bollywood dance team.
