Four Peel District School Board schools will celebrate 25th and 50th milestone anniversaries this week. Celebrations will feature community events, student performances and reunions of former students and staff.
Credit Valley Public School and Nahani Way Public School will both respectively celebrate their 25th anniversaries on May 25. Credit Valley’s celebrations will include an open house for the school community from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. There will be artwork inspired by ‘The Balloon Tree’, food trucks and a photo booth to capture moments from the event.
Nahani Way will celebrate their 25th anniversary by holding an event from 5 to 8 p.m. for the community to join in on the opening of a time capsule. There will be family fun activities, STEM club robotics demonstrations and food vendors on site. More information can be found on Twitter @NahaniWayPS.
Forest Glen Public School and Brampton Centennial Secondary School will be celebrating their milestone 50th anniversary. Forest Glen invites the community on May 25 from 4:30 to 7 p.m. to celebrate with activities, a silent auction and showcase of artwork created by students.
Brampton Centennial will celebrate their 50th anniversary on May 27 with a day full of activities beginning at 9 a.m. The event will begin with the unveiling of a memorial statue in memory of the victims of the 1975 school shooting. There will also be activities, school tours and a chance for alumni to reconnect.
Credit Valley Public School is located at 2365 Credit Valley Rd. in Mississauga and Nahani Way Public School is located at 235 Nahani Way in Mississauga. Forest Glen Public School is located at 3400 Ponytrail Dr. in Mississauga and Brampton Centennial is located at 251 McMurchy Ave. S in Brampton.
