Peel parents invited to free youth parenting sessions

The Peel District School Board and Associated Youth Service of Peel invites parents to join the Adolescent COPE Parenting Group—a free 8-week parenting group for families of youth in grades 7 to 10. The group meets once a week from January to March to discuss ways to reduce parenting stress, strengthen relationships between parents and teens, and improve teen motivation at home and school.

Meetings will be held every Wednesday from Jan. 30 to March 27 at Louise Arbour Secondary School in Brampton. Mississauga meetings will be held every Tuesday from Jan. 29 to March 26 at Port Credit Secondary School.

Childcare and assistance with transportation are available if needed. Healthy refreshments will be provided.

For more information or to register for the group, view the parent group Mississauga flyer or Brampton flyer, or call Beth Kerr at 905-890-9990 ext. 243.
