Fire damage at Port Credit Secondary School

On Tuesday, August 2, 2016, at approximately 5 a.m., the Mississauga Fire Department was called to Port Credit Secondary School, where a fire began on the building's roof. Although construction work on the building's roof began over the weekend, the cause of the fire is currently being investigated.

No students or staff were present at the school at the time of the fire, and as such, all staff or students are safe.

The Peel board's maintenance staff are currently working to clean up the damage. At this point, we do not know when the building will be available for staff and students.

We will continue to provide updates as we receive more information. We appreciate your patience and understanding at this time.
