Peel board unveils new branding to reflect student interests

The Peel District School board is proud to unveil its new logo after months of deliberation. The board has settled upon "carrot" based on the vegetable's overwhelming popularity with Peel board students.

Carrots, known for their Vitamin A, support healthy vision and the board feels that improved vision will help support students in the classroom whether they are viewing information presented at the front of the class or on their personal device as part of the Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) program.

Other colours considered based on their popularity with students were:

  • Lima bean green
  • "First draft" red
  • Snow day white (scrapped due to visibility issues)
