Castlebrooke Secondary School is an innovative learning environment for the 21st century student to learn and grow. Castlebrooke opened its doors to grades 9 and 10 students in September 2012. In a completely wireless facility with a flipped classroom approach, Castlebrooke offers a variety of pathway opportunities for students living in a digital world.
At Castlebrooke, we embrace and promote global citizenship, communication and technology. The use of technology to learn anytime and anywhere is a focus for all students and staff. The use of information technology embraces collaboration, creativity and innovation among students working together to develop and enhance their critical thinking, problem solving and communication skills. Character education will be embedded in the school curriculum to help build a positive climate for learning and working together.
Our original mascot design was created by one of our students, featuring the dragon on top of our castle crest. The dragon represents some of the character traits of courage, pride, and honour, emphasized and modelled by our school staff and students at Castlebrooke, the home of the dragons.
Castlebrooke has an extensive athletic program as well as a variety of clubs and volunteer opportunities. All students are encouraged to participate in the wide range of extra-curricular activities being offered and get involved in the different facets of high school life.
