Dunrankin Drive’s helmet safety ambassadors place top 3 in nation-wide poster contest

​Carol Lewerentz's grade 3 to 5 students from Dunrankin Drive Public School's helmet safety posters placed top 3 nation-wide in Parachute Canada's I ThinkFirst! poster contest. The students were awarded a set of helmets and a $500 Amazon gift card for their thoughtful and creative art projects showcasing how they "ThinkFirst!" at school, at home and on the road to prevent injuries.

Parachute Canada is a national charity that aims to promote safety through expert resources and tools. Students in grades K-8 from across Canada were invited to submit creative art projects, explaining in their own words why and how they "ThinkFirst!" to prevent injury when they are active at play, school or at home.
