More than 10,000 students from across the world participated in DECA's International Career Development Conference (ICDC) world finals competition from April 20 to 26 in Atlanta, Georgia. Grade 12 student, Daniella Serrador, represented Port Credit Secondary School at the competition and placed top 10 overall.
"It was the experience of a lifetime," said Daniella Serrador. "It was an honour to be able to represent Port Credit Secondary School."

DECA's competitive events are divided by different "career clusters," including Hospitality and Tourism. Daniella competed in the Quick Serve Restaurant Management Series category. This is Daniella's third year as a member in DECA and she's served as an executive for the past two years.
The DECA International Career Development Conference is the culmination of the DECA year. More than 19,000 high school students, teachers, advisors, business professionals and alumni participate in DECA's various events. DECA provides members with the opportunity to demonstrate their "college and career ready knowledge and skills" by participating in its various competitive events.
