Students from Applewood and Stephen Lewis Secondary Schools will open the Toronto Blue Jays versus Boston Red Sox game by performing the American and Canadian National anthems at the Rogers Centre on April 25 at 6:40 p.m. Peel staff, students and community members are welcome to attend the game to show their support and cheer on the students.
The students, many who are non-verbal, will perform the national anthems by using American Sign Language (ASL).
This is the 14th year the school has performed at the Rogers Centre. It is also the 10th year Applewood School and Stephen Lewis Secondary School has partnered together to open the Blue Jays game.
