Massey Street Public School is encouraging everyone to join them as they "Spring into Health" at its annual Bike Swap and Spring into Health Open Health on May 10 from 6 to 8 p.m. Students and staff hope encourage and support a healthy and active lifestyle by informing its school community on the resources available to them. All community members are welcome to attend this free event.
For the annual Bike Swap, the school is accepting donations of used bikes to help promote active transportation and create a more sustainable environment. Massey Street will accept bike donations until May 4 6 p.m. The school is accepting bike drop-offs from Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The bike swaps will happen during its Open House. At the bike swap, those who are in need of a bike may take one.
At the Open House, students and staff hope to inform community members on the many resources available to them. In addition to the Bike Swap, the event will feature a scavenger hunt, book fair, art displays, food and refreshments and more. Attendees will be able to speak with members from a variety of organizations, including City of Brampton Parks and Recreation, Dairy Farmers of Ontario, Canadian Mental Health Association, Peel Fire, Paramedics and Public Health.
