Louise Arbour Secondary School was one of four schools in Ontario selected to lead Ophea's Healthy Schools Leadership Day in recognition of their leadership role to promote healthy and active living.
On Monday, Oct. 23, Louise Arbour hosted almost 100 students from six Peel schools taking part in a variety of fun, interactive workshops to learn vital leadership skills to increase student engagement, strengthen community partners and encourage their peers to make healthier choices.
Louise Arbour is one of 36 Peel schools taking part in Ophea's 6-Step Healthy Schools Certification program. The certificate is earned through careful planning and implementation of a range of activities surrounding health topics by schools to educate and encourage healthier lifestyles.
