Royal Orchard Middle School mix math and music to create DJ tracks in new program
From Oct. 5 to Dec. 5, students from Royal Orchard Middle School will develop their DJ skills in a new school program taught by Joseph Khargie, founder of the TAHO Foundation. The program will teach students how to develop their own unique beats, rhythms and songs using authentic DJ'ing equipment while integrating math and music.
Students will have the opportunity to put their skills to the test at the DJ Scratch Competition, held at Bramalea Secondary School on Thursday, Dec. 21, 2017.
