Peel board hosts community forums to get feedback on We Rise Together, the Peel board’s action plan to support black male students

The Peel District School Board invites Peel community members and families to two community forums where attendees can provide feedback on We Rise Together, the Peel board's action plan to support black male students.

Each forum will be the same – there will be a presentation, followed by breakout sessions where attendees will be able to provide feedback on two of the four focus areas of the action plan:

  • Integrate the experiences of black Canadians into curriculum
  • Deliver anti-racism and bias awareness professional development
  • Engage with the community
  • Inspire black student leadership and engagement

Attendees can choose to attend one or both of the forum dates listed below:

Saturday, Jan. 21, 2017
10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Turner Fenton Secondary School
7935 Kennedy Rd. S, Brampton


If you are planning to attend, you must register online at www.peelschools.org/WeRiseTogether. The action plan is also available on the website for attendees to review prior to the forums.  

Those unable to attend the sessions can submit their feedback by Jan. 21, 2017 via email to communications@peelsb.com
