Aylesbury, Castle Oaks, Churchville and Springbrook public schools will celebrate their official school openings at evening celebrations on May 4, 5, 12 and 16, respectively. These events will feature a variety of student performances and presentations.
Aylesbury's event on May 4 at 6 p.m. will include an official ceremony, student performances, an open house for parents and community members, as well as a book fair, which will begin at 5:30 p.m. The event theme is May the 4th be with you and will feature Star Wars-themed music.
Castle Oaks' celebrations begin at 6:30 p.m. on May 5, and will feature school tours, a time capsule presentation, music performances, a slideshow featuring the building of Castle Oaks and a special presentation by the building's architects. A tree planting ceremony will take place in the morning of May 5.
Churchville's event begins at 6:15 p.m. on May 12 and will include an outdoor café featuring live music performed by students. Guests will also have the opportunity to walk through the Gallery of Student Art and Charger Media Creations, and visit the school's robotics room.
Springbrook's celebrations on May 16 at 6 p.m. will feature student bhangra and music performances as well as a time capsule presentation. Guests will have the opportunity to view students' work before they are placed in the time capsule.
Aylesbury is located at 25 Aylesbury Dr. in Brampton. Castle Oaks is located at 155 Castle Oaks Crossing in Brampton. Churchville is located at 90 Bonnie Braes Dr. in Brampton. Springbrook is located at 145 Jordensen Dr. in Brampton.
