Community Planning and Partnerships
The Peel District School Board amended its policy on Community Planning and Partnerships as a result of a new Ministry of Education guideline issued in March 2015. The intent of the policy is to encourage the sharing of planning information with community organizations in order to provide for opportunities to work together to the benefit of students, the community and the board.
Community consultation on community partnerships will be held on a yearly basis during the annual planning document cycle and when a pupil accommodation review is being undertaken. This consultation will be an opportunity for the Peel District School Board to exchange information with interested partners regarding available spaces and/or potential co-build projects and community needs. A list of potential partnership sites will also be available for discussion at consultation meetings and will be updated on an ongoing basis.
